Written By Senior Living by Youngstown Area Jewish Federation

Youngstown Area Jewish Federation received grants for its telehealth program at Heritage Manor Rehabilitation & Retirement Community and Levy Gardens Assisted Living.

This teleheath project has been generously supported by the Legacy Heritage Fund (a national fund), the Thomases Family Endowment of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, and the Youngstown Foundation.

Telehealth is an emerging and critical part of the healthcare system, and there is a growing need to incorporate these technological advances into everyday healthcare. Heritage Manor and Levy Gardens are adding technologies that help to significantly reduce the number of falls and improve balance; enhance clinical outcomes to reduce hospital readmissions; increases communication between staff, residents, and families; and expands their activities programming in content and variety.

By integrating these high-quality and tested technologies, Heritage Manor and Levy Gardens will expand on its history of person-centered care and create a better experience for residents, families, and staff.
