Charlene Apel comes to us with extensive experience in healthcare, having worked as a nurse and then completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in gerontology, which she obtained from Kent State University. During that time, she completed her administrator-in-training program at Heritage Manor in 2001.
Thereafter, she worked at Levy Gardens, our assisted living residence. Charlene also has management experience in running an assisted living dementia unit. She has been our admissions/marketing nurse since 2008, and brings a sensitive and comprehensive perspective to the needs of the applicant and the family.
